As large manufacturing companies close old plants, these plants may still need to be used occasionally on less than a normal efficient economy of scale. Yet, promises Six Sigma processes a leaner Six Sigma Black Belt manufacturing consultant may just surprise even the best of the most experienced manufacturing execs. You see when studying systems management and efficiency nearly all businesses can learn from what the Six Sigma black belt processes can teach you. Even a small company which only makes donuts each morning. And I am certainly not taking anything away from Gerber or his book The E-Myth as what I am saying is that efficiency, quality control and supply chain management is important in all businesses, even those who are simply making pizzas and delivering them to the next caller. Now then would it make sense for a small company to invest in a Six Sigma set of manuals and put one of their members or key employees thru the Six Sigma Black Belt training courses in order to help in the efficiency of their company? Well, if they are involved in manufacturing even on a small scale, you bet. But even if they are not, I say it might be worth looking into, as all businesses are systems and must be efficient to stay in business and ahead of the competition. The strong survive?
