So What Do You Value in Your Career?

Some jobs require more affection than others. Normally affection is a private value, something you will find among the ones that are dear to you. So is "family happiness," although it helps if you have a job you do not have to worry about.

We all value health most, but only when the same health is at stake. In fact, health is normally undervalued. It is something you presume to be at your side.

The feeling to achieve something is also very common, although not necessary valued equal by all of us. It is a choice, as many other values you can select to support your development.

Some jobs or careers require a helpful or supportive inclination. The care-"industry" is exemplary for this requirement. It is impossible to imagine a health center a hospital in which the employees are all competitive. Also a teacher will not prosper if he does not value a helpful approach.

If you want to influence people you could choose nearly any career, although influence is achieved best by communication and language, which does limit the choice of careers.

Gathering knowledge and insight is also something you may value in your work. Also this is possible for nearly any career.

A thought leader should stand for one's ideas. This goes hand in hand with creativity. First you need to create ideas, and then you need to defend them. Convince others that your idea is the best as far as this issue is concerned.

Personal development is a value that is linked to gathering knowledge and insight, but focused on your personal life. Gathering knowledge could be in done in any field. Personal development does not really require a career. Any one could further develop himself, although a career certainly does help.

These are an overview of some values you should think about. What do you value in life and what career seems to support this best. It is a question you should not forget.
