Do You Have a Problem Reaching Your Goals?

The fact that you have set goals means that you are a step ahead of thepack! The fact that you have a problem reaching them means you need assistance. I'm here to help so lets get the show on the road.

1. Make sure that your goals are written down, unwritten goals seldom materialize.

2. Write down the interim steps that you will have to take to get to your goals.

If you have completed the above two steps, congratulations, you are ready to start!

Now comes the important part. Don't focus on the WRONG thing! You must focus on your goal, not the step by step process to get you there. Yes, you need to follow the steps, but don't let the process of following the steps be your focal point. If you focus on the process, you lose sight of your goal and you lose the passion you need to reach it.

Do you go for walks? If you do, I want you to try this experiment. Pick a highly visible location to start your experiment. Start walking away from your departure point, but as you walk look down so that as you step forward you can see the toes of your feet in the bottom of your peripheral vision. Just look ahead enough so that you don't bump into anyone. Walk for ten minutes like this and then stop. Turn around and look back to the point where you started. Focus on that spot and walk back to it. Check uour watch. I'll bet that it didn't take you 10 minutes to get back. On the outbound trip you were oncentrating on your steps, on the return trip you were concentrating on your destination.

So, Stop! Take a deep breath. Read your goals over a few times until you can feel your passion returning and start again, focussing on your goals. Read your goals every day. Focus on them! Feel the anticipation and excitement build, then stride out with purpose and your goals will soon be in your grasp.
