Unique Finesse Spinning Reel For Finesse Fishing

Author: Philip Pixler

First I should inform you all that I am a finesse type fisherman for the most part, and I always try to be prepared with the correct types of equipment for the species I am fishing for, or going after. My first choice is always a good reel, my preference is a spinning reel, like the Epixor EB bait feeder spinning reel. Now this is my first choice for finesse styles of fishing, like drop shot fishing with small worms or jig headed tubes, or in the spring site fishing the spawning beds for Large mouth bass, small mouth and even crappie, jigging in the rocks our brush piles when the fish are actively spawning.

For this type of finesse fishing you really need a smooth quite running reel, with quick solid hook setting power. I enjoy using this okuma spinning reel for all these reasons. It has all the abilities I look for in a spinning reel, Like using live bait as well as my favorite lures. Lets take a look at the qualities features and capabilities of this reel.

A first ever, a high performance finesse spinning reel with a bail feeding system. It is a unique combination of a tournament grade spinning reel and Okuma's patented live line bait feeding system. Built on the foundation of the venerable okuma Epixor spinning reels, the Epixor EB is flawless. The Epixor EB features Okuma's three piece spool construction. The machined aluminum spool utilizes a super tough, titanium coated stainless steel spool lip, as well as a waterproof drag seal. The EDS drag offers a 30% larger drag system for incredible stopping power. The Epixor uses Okuma's patented live bait feeding system. One easy to reach lever disengages the spool letting line run freely. The tension of the free spool can be controlled with an easy to reach rear adjustment. Nine Stainless Steel sealed bearings, and a one way clutch bearing make these reels smooth. The Quick Set anti reverse system guarantees rock solid hook sets, and eliminates handle play. Features of this spinning reel include a Machine aluminum spool with a Tl coated stainless steel spool lip, nine SUS sealed ball bearings plus a 1 way roller bearing. EDS; Extra Drag System, Oil soaked felt & SS drag with a Water proof drag seal and a very good Quick set anti reverse, Machined aluminum handle arm, and smooth action!

Now a stable in my collection of spinning reels, The Okuma Epixor EB bait feeder Spinning reel is my standard finesse fishing reel. I always have a backup, two of them!
